Year 8 Group Science Projects

06 September 2019

Year 8 are designing and performing their own experiments in small groups in order to demonstrate and explore a chosen scientific principle. Here, the students are measuring the conductivity of heat through different substances (soy sauce, vinegar and water) and noting results accordingly.

Another group is exploring how current moves through different citrus fruits, hypothesising how the voltage inside the fruits is affected by oxidation and pH levels. Supervised by Science teacher Hernan Carol-Garis, these group projects are thought-provoking as students learn the processes of scientific inquiry and recording experiments.
