Sandpit working bee

22 February 2019

Our trusty Maintenance team have been working flat out recently

Our trusty Maintenance team have been working flat out recently, so when we heard that two tonnes of sand needed to be bucketed to the sandpit for its regular ‘freshen up’, Classes 3 – 6 leapt to the challenge!

Class 5 began the day and put a great dent in the pile before school began.  Classes 3, 4 and 6 then worked at different times throughout the afternoon.  It was heavy work but great fun! Authentic challenges of this kind are the perfect opportunity to model and teach the power of team work, the satisfaction in a job well done and the real power of striving together in the natural environment.

They will sleep well tonight (and so will I)!
