Our Little Kindy children celebrated Jewish New Year. We have been learning a Jewish song and dance for a few weeks. On the day of the celebration, the children listened to “The Pardon” the story of a king and his friend who played a beautiful melody on a flute. The children sang and danced to the song of Rosh Hashanah before eating an apple dipped in honey to celebrate this occasion. We wished the new year to be a sweet one, just like the honey-dipped apple. A child exclaimed “This is the best day ever!” as he took a bite of the apple.
