Meet The Team - Marianne Kaulima

10 October 2024

This term, we welcome Marianne as our Monday Playgroups Educator at our Castlecrag campus. Welcome Marianne!

What is your new role at Glenaeon?
My new role is the Castlecrag Monday Playgroup Leader.

What experience do you bring to Glenaeon?
I bring 4.5 years of early childhood education experience working in Waldorf Steiner inspired environments. This includes1 year in mainstream services. For some families who may know me, I am also at Glenaeon Preschool in Willoughby. I have a 2 year Rudolf Steiner Certificate for early childhood education from the Rudolf Steiner College in Sydney and the Certificate III in Early Childhood and Care.

My Waldorf Steiner experience and international training began in China. This was with a start-up kindergarten organisation collaborating in European and Australian training such as attending an educators' seminar in Latvia in 2019. I taught online Language Arts for children in China and Vietnam during the pandemic. For Glenaeon, I bring a taste of my Pacific origins. The inspirational mentoring and learning I have received throughout all these years will be in service, supporting the wonder-filled world for the children at Glenaeon.

What are your interests?
My interests are spending time with family, weekend walks in nature, the arts, Anthroposophy, child and human development, animals, travel, culture, painting, illustrating and film. I have a rescued rainbow tortie cat, Gnomes who is my peaceful timekeeper.

What are you most excited about for 2025?
For 2025, I'm excited about the playgroup and meeting new families and working with the wonderful staff at Glenaeon's Castlecrag beautiful location. I look forward to expanding my learning, and nurturing meaningful connections with our families, while fostering caring creative and cultural possibilities. What a wonderful and exciting start to 2025 it will be!
