This week, one child brought in a fresh frame of honeycomb from a friend's beehive to share with the class - so 'bread and honey' was shared with great enjoyment. The children also grind their own oats from whole groats using hand-grinder, and help with the preparation of one daily dish together. This meaningful activity brings the children to understand the origins of their foods, and to feel part of the process of creating their own meals, which are shared together during the day in addition to their own lunches brought from home.
