Farewell Year 12

25 September 2024

In our Yr 12 students last days at Glenaeon, we honoured them with some spectacular traditions and celebrations. We are so proud of these wonderful 25 individuals and all enjoyed farewelling them as they embark on their post-school journey.

The week started with the Yr 12 Walk Around where the students visit our Castlecrag campus (where many of them started their schooling journey) and say goodbye to each year group. Back at Middle Cove, our Yr 11 students hosted a lunch for Yr 12 on the deck, what a wonderful spread and a special way to pass the baton to the new leaders of the school. The next morning the Yr 12 breakfast was hosted by our teachers and staff, and what a reflective morning they had, sharing stories and getting excited for the events to come that day. Our Yr 12 students attended our annual Glenaeon Spring Festival on the oval before students made the famous Yr 12 farewell tunnel. And finally, the Yr 12 Mystery Tour, taking them on an adventure through Sydney CBD. An afternoon filled with joy and laughter, it truly was a picture-perfect day, filled with surprises and cherished moments. The evening ended with being treated to Scottie's delicious pizzas - a perfect wrap-up to the day's adventures.

Thank you to all who made Yr 12's final days both joyous and memorable. This week saw the start of the HSC Examinations and we are holding space for these students as their hard work is put into action. You've got this, Yr 12!
