Glenaeon Family Fair

What an amazing Family Fair we enjoyed last Saturday! A truly wonderful day that celebrated all that we stand for - community, children and family, and a spirit of volunteer engagement that makes our Family Fair possible. Thank you to each and every one of the hundreds of community members for supporting the Fair through efforts big or small, both on Saturday and in the months leading up to the big day. A special acknowledgement of course, to 2024 Fair Coordinators Nick Van-Bell, Penny Mapp, Tim Hill and Nancy Dela Cruz for their amazing leadership and coordination of this monumental logistical undertaking. Together with the Glenaeon Events team, Maintenance Team and many of our staff, you have been such a willing and competent group and such a pleasure to work with. Our deepest gratitude and appreciation.

It’s days like this that I’m reminded (again) of the deeply connected community we enjoy at our school. Our warm, inviting culture is built on events like the Fair that so beautifully exemplify who we are. And we should not ever take that for granted.

Go Well Year 12 2024!

Last night, our Class of 2024 gathered with their families at Athol Hall in Mosman to celebrate the culmination of 13 years of formal schooling, the completion of HSC Examinations and to herald in a new chapter, post school! The day began with a deeply moving and at times, hilarious Graduation Assembly, at which our twenty-five graduates were acknowledged as the unique individuals they are, ready to take this significant next step in their meaningful lives. But it was their collective qualities as a cohort that shone through as being so influential on us all and it is this that will be their lasting legacy to Glenaeon: resilient, kind, supportive, mature and caring.

As we send out the Class of 2024 on their next exciting adventure, we know they embody the attributes we value so highly in our graduates: free in spirit, able to act, grounded in self and caring of the world. In the words of Rudolf Steiner, ‘to truly know the world, look deeply within your own being; to truly know yourself, take real interest in the world. Live through deeds of love and let others live understanding their unique intentions: this is the fundamental principle of free human beings’. Farewell Year 12!
