AFL lunchtime clinic

Years 4-8 were lucky enough to have AFL NSW come out to show them the ropes

Years 4-8 were lucky enough to have AFL NSW come out to show them the ropes of this fast growing sport over the last 2 Thursdays. AFL clinics were run to give students the chance to experience the game and learn a little bit about the sport.  The clinics were held at lunchtime and went for an hour.  Jemma, Pat and Isabella were on hand to run skills sessions and talk to the students. These coaches were supported by Glenaeon AFL coaches Jaz Miller Hill and Tim Bacon, who have been running the extra-curricular Monday after-school program since term 4 last year. There was an excellent take up and the Year’s 5&6’s now have the opportunity to sign up for the Paul Kelly Cup to compete in a Gala Day against other school teams. Glenaeon will field 2 teams in the tournament which will be held at Gore Hill Oval on the 20th March. Donna Miller
